Principal's Weekly Message

Week 20: January 10-14, 2022

01/09/22

As many of you know, we are currently following high spread protocols to minimize the spread of Covid. If your child tests positive for Covid or is a close contact to someone who tests positive outside of school, please report this information using the “Report Covid 19 Absences” link found on our school and district websites. Teachers will provide distance-learning assignments for up to 10 days by request. Caregivers can request work by emailing the teacher directly or contacting our front office.

Progress reports and mid-year iReady scores were sent home with your student on Friday. If you have any questions about this information, please contact your child’s teacher.

There is still time to sign up for Tuesday’s virtual parent workshop on IEPs vs 504s. More information on how to register can be found on our website and Facebook page.

Those are all of our announcements for this week. We look forward to seeing our Bears in the morning!

Week 19: January 5-7, 2022

01/04/22

Welcome back Bears! We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday break.

Just a reminder that student drop off time is 7:20-7:50 a.m. Any student who arrives after 7:50 a.m. must be checked in at the front office by an adult.

Please help us keep our students safe by using the car rider lanes or parking and walking your student to the front door of the building. It is not safe to drop students off in the parking lot.

BCS is hosting an IEP vs. 504 virtual parent workshop on Tuesday, January 11th from 6-7p.m. Registration information can be found on our school website and Facebook page. A flyer with this information will also be coming home with your student this week.

Those are all of our announcements. We have missed our students and are looking forward to seeing them in the morning!

Week 18: December 13-17, 2021

12/13/21

This is the last week of our “A December to Remember” spirit days. Monday we are wearing flannel or plaid, Tuesday we are wearing light up accessories, Wednesday we are wearing holiday headgear, Thursday we are wearing our tackiest holiday sweaters, and Friday is pajama day. For safety reasons, we ask that you wear regular shoes instead of slippers or house shoes on this day.

Please plan to join us for our holiday musical featuring our 2nd and 3rd grade students this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

We have numerous items in our lost and found area. Please stop by our front lobby before 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17th to locate your child’s items. All unclaimed items will be donated.

Families we know that many of you send in many items during this time of year to share with our students, staff, and faculty. To make this easier, we are allowing parents to walk their students to class between 7:20-7:50 a.m. this week to drop off items. No visitors will be allowed in the building past 7:50 a.m. If you have any questions, please talk with an administrator.

Those are all of our announcements for this week. Let’s make it a great one!
